Booming Galway business’s new branch as city slickers conquer county

After years of serving Galway city and slowly creeping outwards, business is booming for one well-loved fast-food restaurant.

After well over a decade in Galway city, where they proved extremely popular, Apache Pizza is to open a new branch well outside the city, joining its two previous ventures in the sticks.

Following the success of Apache Pizza in Claregalway and in Athenry, Headford will also have their own branch. Apache’s first Galway branch opened in Newcastle in the early 2000s, followed by a branch in the West End that did a roaring lunchtime trade as well as serving hungry drinkers on a night out.

A third opened in Terryland along the Headford Road, serving the east of the city. And now the village of Headford will have their own branch, offering the extensive Apache menu as well as their high-quality pizzas and imaginative lunch offering.

In other Galway news, a Galway man shared the news of a stranger’s act of kindness towards him in the city centre this week and social media users have been quick to keep the karma going.

“Asked a lad for a light on Dominic Street this evening,” the post began. “He gave me his lighter…insisted I took it.”
