The implementation of this project not only demonstrates the strong capabilities of China’s high-end equipment manufacturing industry, but also serves as a vivid example of China’s commitment to the Belt and Road Initiative and deepening friendly cooperation with African countries. The export of the SDD6 model diesel locomotives will effectively enhance the railway transportation efficiency of Tanzania, boost regional economic development, and strengthen connectivity among countries in the East African region.

It is worth mentioning that CRRC Qishuyan Company, as an important force in the export of Chinese railway equipment, has cumulatively exported 134 units of various models of diesel locomotives to 6 African countries. These locomotives play a significant role on the African continent and have become a shining business card for Chinese manufacturing on the global stage.
